On Saturday, June 4th,2011 I played for Harmony and Anthony D'elia aboard the Catalina Yacht/Sundream Yacht Charters. What an awesome day for a party on the Ft. Lauderdale intracoastal. The afternoon started with a ceremony performed by Captain Pat. The entire bridal party and Harmony walked to"Storybook Love" by Mark Knopfler and the recessional was the traditional "Wedding March" by Felix Mendelsohn. Cocktail hour was a mix of tropical and adult contemporary tunes. I introduced Harmony and Anthony "Soul Bossa Nova" theme from Austin Powers, and their first dance was "Leather & Lace" by Stevie Nicks & Don Henley. Harmony danced with her father to "Over The Rainbow" by Israel K and Anthony danced with his mother to "Times Of Your Life" by Paul Anka. After dinner I played a lot of 70's & 80's retro.....Four Seasons, Doobie Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Bee Gees, Spinners, Barry White, Wang Chung, Human League, E.W.& F., Marvin Gaye, and New Order. The final hour I mixed in B.E.P., Train, Lady Gaga, Usher, Beyonce, 50 Cent, Flo Rida and other top 40 hits of today. It was an afternoon wedding so many of the guests were on the top deck taking in the scenery of the intracoastal waterway.
