Wedding and Reception Aboard the Catalina Yacht

Andrew and Bahareh's wedding ceremony and reception were held aboard the Catalina Yacht Charter in Ft. Lauderdale on October 28th. Many of their family members flew in from all over New Jersey and Georgia to watch the two get married on the top deck just before sunset. They were blessed with beautiful Florida fall weather. The bridal party and Bahareh walked out to Claire de Lune by Debussy. Once the ceremony concluded, the newlyweds celebrated together while I played the rest of Claire de Lune. I started things off with a mix of spanish guitar songs for the cocktail hour, and while guests were boarding. After some pictures it was time to introduce the newlyweds. I pumped everyone up and the cheering continued as I introduced the bridal party and the newlyweds to the Raider’s March from the Indiana Jones Soundtrack. I invited them to the middle of the floor for their first dance to Harvest Moon by Neil Young. Following the first dance, the bridesmaids performed a traditional Persian Knife Dance before handing the knife over to the newlyweds while I played Mabarak Baad by Rushid. After the cake was cut I invited the Maid of Honor and Best Man to the sweetheart table for speeches. Around
8:30pm I asked the guests where all the single ladies were before inviting them
to the dance floor for the Bouquet toss. I played Jump In The Line by Harry
Belafonte before Bahareh tossed the bouquet high in the air for the ladies to
catch. Shortly following the bouquet toss, Andrew got down on his knees while
his wife occupied a chair in the center of the dance floor. I played the rest
of Jump In The Line while Andrew went under to retrieve his garter. The reception continued after that and the guests danced the whole night. Congratulations to Andrew and Bahareh. I had a blast with you guys. - DJ ELOW
