On Saturday, January 30th, 2016, aboard the Sun Dream yacht, I had the honer of DJing the Ceremony and Reception for the Hoffmann family. As guests arrived, prior to the ceremony, I played a mixture of beach friendly easy listening as requested by Nick and Nicole (The Bride and Groom). For the prelude, I played Bruno Mars, Marry You. The Bridal Party walked down the isle to the song a string version of Don’t Stop Believing, by Journey. Nicole walked down the isle to the song A Thousand Years, by The Piano Guys. Following a beautiful ceremony everyone walked out to the song I’m A Believe, by Smash Mouth. After the ceremony, guests drank cocktails and at hour deserves to a mixture of easy listening, and light modern pop music. For the introductions I played the song Party Rock Anthem, by LMFAO. And then introduced Nick and Nicole to the song Sexy and I know it, by LMFAO. For the first dance, Nick and Nicole danced to the song God Gave Me You, by Blake Shelton. Nicole and her father Jim danced to the song I Loved Her First, by Heartland. Then, Nick and his mother Dianna danced to the song Felistsa (live version), by Yanni. During the dinner service, I played a mixture of Easy Listening and ramped it up to the playlist Nick and Nicole selected for dancing. Within minutes of dinner being over, the dance floor was packed. After about an hour of dancing, we cut the cake to the song Pour Some Sugar on Me, by Def Leopard. For the closing of the evening, Nick and Nicole picked two songs, Today Was A Fairy Tale, by Taylor Swift and The Final Countdown, by Europe. As the guests exited the boat they all grabbed sparklers and lit them up. Nick and Nicole gracefully exited the boat to an amazing light show of sparks flying through the air. It was a sight to see! Thank you to the crew of the Sun Dream Yacht and to the Hoffman and Shaw family for an amazing Wedding! DJ/MC Eric Olsen
