Wedding and Reception Aboard the Sun Dream Yacht

Lamar and Tivonee's wedding was held aboard the Sun Dream Yacht  in Ft. Lauderdale on May 19th. Many of their family members took a charter bus from Atlanta to watch the two get married on the top-deck just after 12 noon on a partly cloudy day. I started things off with a mix of island tunes from Bob Marley while guests were boarding. The bride walked down the aisle to By Your Side by Sade. Once announced husband and wife the newlyweds celebrated to Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder as they walked back down the aisle together. After the ceremony was over I switched it over to some R&B and Hip Hip favorites from Atlanta, GA with some requests from the guests for the cocktail hour. After some pictures it was time to introduce the newlyweds. I pumped up the crowd as I announced the new Mr. and Mrs. Knight as they walked in to Magnificent by John Legend. The cheering continued as I invited them to the middle of the floor for their first dance. Lamar and Tivonee embraced each other as I played This Is Why I Love You by Major and then at the bride’s request I mixed in She’s My Rock by Plies. After the first dance, champagne glasses were distributed among the guests as Tivonee’s Aunt gave a nice heartfelt speech. Once the toast was done I invited the guests down for dinner while I played some smooth jazz. After dinner, we continued the party on the mid-deck while I played a mix of Hip Hop, and Motown for all the guests to enjoy. I closed everything out to International Player’s Anthem by UGK and Outkast as we all sang along before ending the afternoon. Congratulations to Lamar and Tivonee Knight.
