Ryan and Allie's Wedding Aboard the Sun Dream

Ryan and Allie's wedding was held aboard the Sun Dream Yacht in Ft. Lauderdale on March 24th. Many of their family members flew in from Connecticut to witness them get married on the top-deck just before sunset. They were blessed with some perfect Florida Spring weather. I started things off with a mix of hip hop jazz while guests were boarding. Allie walked down the aisle to Canon in D by Pachelbel and once announced husband and wife Ryan and Allie celebrated to Shotgun Rider by Tim McGraw as they walked back down the aisle together. Once the ceremony was over I switched it over to some 2000s R&B with some requests from the guests for the cocktail hour. After some pictures it was time to introduce the newlyweds. I pumped up the crowd as I announced the new Mr. and Mrs. Connolly as they walked in to Let’s Go by Calvin Harris. The cheering continued as I invited them to the middle of the floor for their first dance to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, followed by a very special mother/daughter dance to Mama’s Song by Carrie Underwood. Shortly after  Allie was done dancing with her mom, Ryan was invited to bring his mother to the dancefloor, they chose My Wish by Rascal Flatts. We took a little break for dinner, as I played some jazz before continuing the fun. The cake was cut to an old favorite, How Sweet It Is by James Taylor as the guests sang along. The reception continued after that and went overtime while the guests danced the whole night. I closed everything out to New York New York by Frank Sinatra as we all sang along before the sparkler send off. Congratulations to Ryan and Allie's. I had a blast with you guys. - DJ ELOW
