Ariel and Mayri Castro were married on 4/17/2011 aboard the Sun Dream Yacht. It was a beautiful late afternoon when they made their vows to one another on the upper deck of the yacht. The bridal party entered to Canon in D by Pachalbel and Mayri with her mom entered to The Wedding March by Wagner. After the ceremony the guests were invited to the second deck for cocktails and appetizers while bride, groom and family posed for pictures on the upper deck. The bride and groom then made their grand entrance and danced to From This Moment by Shania Twain. Ariel and Mayri wanted to combine the parents dances. So they danced to 10 de Septiembre by Alex Campos. Mayri's dad was not present so she danced with her mother then with Ariel's father. Ariel of course danced with his mom. The toast was given by Andrea Castro (Ariel's sister). It was very emotional as Andrea welcomed Mayri into the Castro family. After a few dance numbers everyone made their way down to the lower deck for dinner. Ariel and Mayri suggested a mix of latin oldies and easy listening music for dinner which was perfect for this occasion. I say this because the guests were 95% latin. Ariel is from Argentina and Mayri is from Venezuela. So as always the latins did not disappoint went it came to the dancing after dinner. Their were only 49 guests but it seemed like 100. That's how much noise and cheering I heard. Ariel and Mayri cut the cake and we went right into more dancing and partying. Mayri hit it right on the nose when she told me before the ceremony, "mucho cuidado Ray esta gente vinieron a bailar" ("watch out Ray these people came to dance"). Just before the yacht docked I played the last song for the evening which was Last Dance by Donna Summer. I am sure that the cheers were heard all the way inside of the Double Tree Hotel. Besos y abrasos para los novios Ariel y Mayri Castro. Que Dios Los Bendigan. Translation: Hugs and Kisses to Ariel and Mayri Castro. May God Bless You.
