This installment of the Wedding Blog brings us to a residence in West Palm Beach. The wedding reception was held at a beautiful estate overlooking a barn and a wonderful fish pond. The pool area was wonderfully decorated and accented with blue LED Up lights provided by Eddie B and Company. As the guests arrived, I played some beach music. You know, Jimmy Buffet, Bob Marley, Shaggy, etc. It was a perfect soundtrack for this setting. The bar was opened early and getting full!
I never saw so many bottles of rum in my life!
The bridal party arrived about an hour later and I invited them in with "Gotta Feeling" by the Peas. I immediately went into the first dance, "Lovely Day" by Maroon 5. I then proceeded to do the parent dances. "Sweet Child of Mine" and "Simple Man". These were beautiful piano covers of the original rock songs...Very cool.
I then asked the best man and Maid of Honor come up to say a few words. They were very touching.
At this time, I asked all of the guests to find their seats for dinner service. I was instructed to play the island music again to keep the vibe going.
After dinner I opened the dance floor with a slow song and we never looked back! The party rocked! I played music from all genres, but the favorite was top 40 and Hip Hop.
There was no formal cake cutting, since they had cupcakes instead. And there was no garter and bouquet toss.
So this party was non stop! And remember the bottles of rum I mentioned at the beginning of my blog? Well they were all GONE!!!
Another one for the books!
