Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the WEDDING BLOG.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Dara and Randy. They were married on Saturday at Benvenuto's in Boynton Beach. I really love this venue! The staff is always so helpful.
The ceremony was held out in the courtyard. It was a beautiful Spring day and perfect for an outdoor wedding. As the guests arrived, I played tunes from the Vitamin String Quartet.
For the parents and the groom to enter, I played "Love Someone" from Jason Mraz. The bridal party entered with " What A Wonderful World" by Israel K. Then Dara walked down the aisle to "Over The Rainbow" by Israel K. The ceremony was very traditional, along with readings and a blessing by the pastor for the bride and groom. The nuptials were sealed with a kiss and I played " Best Day Of My Life" by The American Authors for them to exit!
Cocktails were served in the bar. I played some cool lounge tunes to set a nice tone.
After that, I invited all of the guests to the main room. It was lit up with Royal Blue lighting provided by Eddie B. & Company. We also provided the Photo booth for the evening and it was a great hit!
The introductions went flawlessly. I played "Danza Kaduro" for the bridal party. Then Dara and Randy entered to "Jump Around" by House Of Pain. It went over great! I then played the father daughter dance. "I'll be there" by Josh Turner. Then Randy danced with his mom. They chose" "Because you loved me" by Celine Dion. Soon after that I invited Darcy and Danny, the maid of honor and best man to their toasts and dedications. Then Dara's dad Michael said a few words. Very touching. Now dinner is served. I played some old school tunes, light country and vocals. After dinner we really got the party started! This was truly a dancing crowd and the dance floor was packed all evening. I was able to play all different styles and genres of music. It was a really well rounded crowd. A great time for them and a great experience for me!
