Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the WEDDING BLOG.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Ryan and Kate. They were married on Saturday 3/16/19 at Benvenuto's in Boynton Beach. I really love this venue! The staff is always so helpful.
The ceremony was held out in the courtyard. Mother Nature was kind to us and held off the rain until the ceremony ended! As the guests arrived, I played music from the Vitamin String Quartet.
For the parents and the bridal party entrance I played "A Thousand Years" by Christine Perri. Then Kate walked down the aisle to "Marry Me" by Train. The ceremony was performed by one of Ryan's close friends and groomsman Mike. The nuptials were sealed with a kiss and I played " Just The Way You Are" by Bruno Mars for them to exit!
Cocktails were served in the bar. I played some cool lounge songs to set a nice tone.
After that, I invited all of the guests to the main room. It was lit up with Cyan Blue lighting provided by Eddie B. & Company. There was also a monogram light in the middle of the dance floor. this too was provided by Eddie B. & Company!
The introductions went flawlessly. I played "I Gotta Feeling" by The Black Eyed Peas for the bridal party. Then Ryan and Kate entered to "Where The Party At" by Jagged Edge. It went over great! They immediately went into their first dance. "Speechless" by Dan & Shay was chosen. I then played the father daughter dance. "I hope You Dance" by LeeAnn Womack. Then Ryan danced with his mom. They chose" "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye. During this song I invited all of the guests to dance this special song with them. It was very special.
Soon after that I invited Mike, The Father of the bride to welcome everyone. Then Vanessa, the maid of honor and Eric, the best man to do their toasts and dedications. Very touching.
Now dinner is served. I played some old school tunes and vocals. After dinner we really got the party started! This was truly a dancing crowd and the dance floor was packed all evening. I was able to play all different styles and genres of music. It was a really well rounded crowd. A great time for them and a great experience for me!
