Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the Wedding blog. On Saturday I had the pleasure of being the DJ at Takisha and Omegadson's wedding. It was held at the beautiful Benvenuto's in Boynton Beach. This is a great venue and the service is excellent!
The ceremony was held in the courtyard. It was a beautiful evening and the sun was starting to set. As the guests entered, I played some NEO Classical music from the Vitamin String Quartet. Soon after that, I invited the bridal party to enter. "Share My Life" by Kem was chosen. Then Takisha walked down. She looked beautiful! I played "This is Why I Love You" by Major. The ceremony was officiated by their church pastor. He had wonderful things to say about Takisha and Omegadson.
After the cocktail hour, I invited all of the guests into the main dining room. It was highlighted with Pink LED up lights provided by Eddie B. & Company. Eddie B & Company also provided an Open Air photo booth for all the guests to enjoy!
Once the guests were settled in, I lined the bridal party up and introduced them into the dining room. I was asked to use"Finesse" by Bruno Mars . Then Takisha and Omegadson entered. The room erupted with applause!
I proceeded to ask them to go into the first dance "For You" by Kenny Lattimore was used. It worked perfectly. I then played a song for Takisha and Omegadson to dance with their Moms. They Chose "A Song For Mama" by Boyz II Men. The champagne was poured and it was time to say a few words. I invited Endurance, the best man to say a few words .Then Jean, the father of the groom welcomed everyone and stated how grateful he was to have everyone there on this momentous day.
During dinner I played some oldies, R & B, and smooth tunes as requested by the bride and groom.
Once dinner was over, everyone was ready to get out and party, so that is exactly what they did! I played a lot of 70's 80's and top 40 as requested by Omegadson and Takisha. They really loved the old tunes. It allowed all of the generations to get out and dance at the same time. In fact, the dance floor was packed all night long!!!! I also was able to play some Haitian Favorites!
We cut the cake with "You & I" by Avant. Then the garter and bouquet toss was done. I used "Single Ladies" and "Motivation" respectively.
After that we danced the rest of the evening. It was a lot of fun.
