It's me the virtual DJ Marc Evans celebrating with another happily married couple. This weekends party brings us to Benvenutos in Boynton Beach. On October 27th, 2012 in front of 47 guests. Ron and Ileana were married outside in the beautiful courtyard at Benvenutos. The bridal party walked down the aisle to Canon in D. The bride selected to walk down the aisle to the traditional music, Here comes the Bride. I have the classiest version of this traditional song. When the bride and groom were pronounced husband and wife, I played as requested, the recessional by Mendelsohn. For cocktail hour, the bride and groom wanted some steel drum music since a lot of their guests were from out of town. The music was perfectly played and selected by Marc Evans as all the guests enjoyed the beautiful setting of Benvenutos and the music.Once cocktail hour was over, I invited all guest to make their way into the room, find their seats as I was getting ready to introduce the Bride and Groom and their kids who were in the bridal party. I used LMFAO's, Party Rock Anthem as they all danced into the room. The first dance was to Simon and Garfunkel's, Bridge Over Troubled Waters. I invited all 47 guests to join them and we had a packed dance floor during the first dance and everyone was ready to party. After the toasts by the brides daughter and the grooms son, salad was served. I introduced the father of the bride and his daughter to the center of the dance floor as they danced to, Mi Nina Bonita, by Tomas de Sanjulian. I then proceeded to invite the daughter of the bride to make her way to the dance floor as she and the bride danced to When I See You Smile, by Bad English as they have a very close relationship. During dinner the bride asked that I play songs from the Rat Pack. Frankie, Stevie, Dean and even Nat King Cole. Perfectly selected songs by Marc Evans as I love those guys. After dinner the guests of bride and groom danced the rest of the afternoon to the sixties, 70's and then top 40. For a small crowd they danced quite a bit and both the bride and I were very impressed by their participation. At the end of the afternoon the bride asked that I play the Mickey Mouse song before the end of the day. Off to the Carribean on a cruise and for me the Virtual DJ Marc Evans, I will prepare for next weeks wedding in Jensen Beach.....road trip!!!
