On Friday May 9th, 2015 I was back in paradise at the Coconut Cove Resort in Islamorada playing for Robin & Jeffrey Wessels and 55 family members and friends. The evening started with a ceremony on the beach. The bridal party walked to Canon in D and Robin walked to Trumpet Voluntary, the recessional was Trumpet Tune and Air.....all traditional wedding ceremony songs. For the cocktail hour I kept it tropical with Steel Pan Tunes and Reggae. I introduced the bridal party to "Dangerous" by Big Data, and then Robin and Jeff to "Chelsea Dagger" by The Fratellis. After dinner and a few toasts I invited all of the guests to the beach for the first dance which was "Better Together" by Jack Johnson, under a dazzling fireworks display. Later, Robin & Jeff did another First Dance to "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. Robin danced with her father Jake to "Forever" by The Beach Boys, and Jeff danced with his mother to "Say Hey" by Michael Franti. The cake was cut to "I'm Yours" and Jeff tossed the garter to "Sexyback", while Robin tossed her bouquet to "Get Lucky". The music format after dinner was mainly Top 40 pop and dance tunes. The final song was "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. Robin & Jeff will be honeymooning in Florence, Italy. All the best! DJ/MC Eddie B!
