On Friday evening September 15th at The Deer Creek Country Club is where the ceremony and reception was held in front of many out of town friends and family. The ceremony began as the bridal party walked down the aisle to Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Israel K. Followed by the bride who walked alone to He Loves Me by Lianne La Havas. During the ceremony I worked with a friend of the brides so she was able to sing a song called I Promise You. As the pastor who was the father of the groom pronounced them husband and wife, Jay and Tanya walked back down the aisle to Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
Cocktail hour was enjoyed by the family as a steel drummer played for the cocktail hour.
Once the cocktail hour concluded, I lined up the small bridal party along with Jay and Tanya and introduced them to Formation, by Beyonce followed by Jay and Tanya to Marry You by Bruno Mars as they went right into the first dance by Bill Withers, Lovely Day....The grand ball room was highlighted with wireless LED Ruby Red up lights provided by Eddie B & Company!
The prayer by the father of the bride was made and the food stations were open. The music played during dinner was from a very extensive list by Tanya to include Jewel, Jill Scott, Billy Joel, Ray Charles, Fantasia, Beyonce, MJ and some reggae and Soca.
Once dinner concluded the toasts were made and then Tanya danced with her dad to Lorraine by Explainer and then Jay with his mom to You Are the Sunshine of My Life by Stevie. The dancing began as the majority of the music was all line dances from the Cupid Shuffle, The Wobble, Electric Slide, Cha Cha slide with reggae, Soca and Salsa.
Jay and Tanya cut the cake to a song I chose for them, Everlasting love as they made a speech, cut the cake and dancing continued to the last song by Journey, Don't Stop believing. Off onto the honey moon but not without a Saturday morning call from Tanya to thank me for the great job I had done for them...Thank you and congrats from DJ Marc Evans....
