On Sunday, September 5th I was in Deerfield at Deer Creek Golf and Country Club for the wedding ceremony and reception of Gerald and Roxanne. The ceremony took place shortly after 4:30pm inside the Biscayne room with a waterfall in the background. The reception was held in the Key West Ballroom, surrounded by windows and brought to life by blush LED up lighting from Eddie B & Company. On the dancefloor, I projected a lovely monogram with names of the bride and groom. Eddie B & Company also provided an Open Air photo booth for all the guests to enjoy. When it was time for introductions I invited everyone to stand as we welcomed Mrs and Mrs. Jones to I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas. Once they touched the dance floor I surprised everyone with 2 cold spark machines that emit completely safe 8ft sparks into the air to welcome the newlyweds. The couple then embraced each other for their first dance to Turn Your Lights Down Low by Lauryn Hill and Bob Marley. During dinner, I played reggae while the guests enjoyed their meal. After dinner, we kicked the party off with a very entertaining bouquet toss by Roxanne, who tossed her bouquet to a group of single ladies as I played Single Ladies by Beyonce, followed by Gerald’s garter retrieval to Hot in Herre by Nelly. The rest of the night was a party with an eclectic mix of pop, dancehall, soca, and other party favorites for all the guests to enjoy. Once the guests were on the floor they did not want to leave. Thank you Gerald and Roxanne for allowing me to be a part of your special day. You were an awesome crowd and it was an absolute pleasure partying with you and your family. Best of luck to you - DJ ELOW
