On Saturday June 2nd, 2012 I was back at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66, Panarama Ballroom for Amanda and Christopher Fletcher and 80 friends and family members. The ceremony was held on the outside patio over looking the yachts and the intra coastal waterway. The bridal party walked to "Canon In D" and Amanda walked to a version of "Here Comes the Bride" by the Inspirational Orchestra. After the exchange of vows, Amanda & Christopher sealed it with a kiss and I played "Good Life" by One Republic starting right at the chorus! The cocktail reception was held inside in the foyer area, and guests enjoyed conversation and a music from the 80's, 90's, and present day. Then the party began inside the ballroom with an introduction of the bridal party to "Party Rock Anthem". Amanda and Christopher danced a choreographed first dance to "Smother Me" by The Used. Immediately foolowing the first dance Amanda danced with her father to "Daughters" by John Mayer, and Christopher danced with his mother to "Wonderful World". After a few toasts dinner was served and I played a mix of Adult Contemporary tunes from all eras. Eddie B & Company also provided a gobo monogram of the couples initals scrolled across the dance floor, and L.E.D. lighting over the dance floor. Later the cake was cut to "This Will Be" by Natalie Cole and the garter was removed to "Mission Impossible". Then Amanda tossed her bouquet to "Single Ladies" and Chris tossed the garter to "Sharp Dressed Man". The music format was more on the retro side for the first hour and a half, and then I mixed a variety of club hits from the year 2000, right up to what you hear today in the clubs. This party was a seven hour marathon and by the time I said goodnight there was still 30 people on the dance floor. The final two songs were "We Are Young" and "Closing Time", and now Amanda and Chris are off to the island of St. Lucia for their honeymoon! Thank you....I enjoyed being a part of your special day.......DJ/MC Eddie B!
