I DJ'ed another beautiful wedding at the Jacaranda Country Club on 10/8/2011 for Joe and Ann Marie Jankiewicz. The weather could not dampen this event!! It started with a cocktail hour that featured paella, mini cuban sandwiches, a full open bar and tropical music. All the guests were so excited as they were directed into the main ballroom for the grand entrance. Joe's mom and Ann Marie's mom entered together to show unity for both families. Then the rest of the bridal party and Joe and Ann Marie walked in to I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas. Joe and Ann Marie chose The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra for their first dance. Joe then danced with his mom to You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban and Ann Marie danced with a close friend of the family named Claude (representing her dad) to What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. After 2 great speeches by the Matron of Honor (Ann Marie's sister) and Chuck (Best Man), Joe made a toast to his lovely bride and thanked everyone who came from far and wide to attend their special day. Joe and Ann Marie went all out when it came to the food. The guests enjoyed 5 courses that evening. Between courses I did get a chance to play some of the great songs that Joe and Ann Marie chose on their song list. After the main course the party got hoppin'!!! A mix of top 40, calypso, soca, oldies and disco were on the menu for the guests to dance and dance they did. The dance floor got full immediately especially when the soca came on. Soon after we performed the Anniversary dance, cake cutting and gater/bouquet toss. Another good solid hour of dancing followed then I played the last dance. Joe chose The Last Dance by Frank Sinatra. So the party began and ended with The Chairman of The Board, Old Blue Eyes....Frank Sinatra (Joe's favorite artist). The highlight of the evening was the huge conga line. Almost every guest was on it!!!! Special thanks to the management and staff at Jacaranda C.C. 5 star all the way!!!!! Congrats Joe and Ann Marie I hope I get to see you guys soon.
