David and Stephanie Sapirman were married on 10/30/2011 at Jacaranda C.C. in Plantation FL. Since it was raining the entire weekend the smart thing to do was to have the ceremony indoors which worked out great. The Jacaranda C.C. staff decorated the ceremony area beautifully. When Stephanie saw it she was very pleased. The bridal party walked in to Canon In D and Stephanie walked in to The Wedding March but with a twist. As soon as she reached the back row she requested that I change the song to The Addams Family Theme in light of Halloween. Then for the recessional David requested The Godfather Theme. The guests were hysterical but they were not surprised. You see David and Stephanie are very compatible. They share the same taste in jokes, food, music and fun!! In short they were meant for each other. After the ceremony everyone enjoyed appetizers and drinks at the cocktail hour while David and Stephanie posed for pictures. As you can imagine the talk at the cocktail hour was all about that ceremony. The grand entrance and the first dance also had to be customized to David and Stephanie's taste. They chose the Darth Vader song (Imperial March) for the entrance and started the first dance to God Only Knows by The Beach Boys. Half way through the first dance I had to make believe I scratched the record so David and Stephanie can look at me like I messed up the song. The guests fell for it. You should have seen the look on their faces. And then you heard "DAY O" Daylight come and me whan go home......David, Stephanie, David's daughter Tiffany, her friend Krista and David's friend John ran to the dance floor and began dancing to the song Banana Boat by Harry Belafonte. Again everyone was in tears but not surprised!! David then dance with his daughter Tiffany to There Goes My Life by Kenny Chesney. John (David's brother) had the honor of giving the toast. The meal was buffet style with 4 food stations. After dinner everyone enjoyed a mix of music that David requested. I played a combination of top 40, oldies, disco and latin. David and Stephanie did cut their beautiful wedding cake in front of the guests but did not want to have a garter/bouquet toss. Instead we performed the anniversary dance and the winning couple were married 52 years!! After a bit more dancing David requested the last dance to be Falling In Love With You by Elvis Presley. Of all of the wedding that I have worked this one was the one with the funniest music selection. I'm glad I was able to help David and Stephanie customize their wedding the way they wanted it. It was a team effort from myself and the Jacaranda C.C. Special thanks to the management and staff of Jacaranda. They are always professional and accommodating.
