Wedding and Reception at Jacaranda Country Club

Ashley and Chris Thompson celebrated their wedding at the Jacaranda Country Club in Plantation, FL on 2/16/2020.  Ashley took the weather completely out of the equation by having the ceremony in-doors as well as the cocktail hour and of course the reception.  Approximately 100 guests witnessed a beautiful ceremony then they were all invited to the cocktail hour for drinks and appetizers.  I played a mix of tropical tunes while they all mingled.  When the ballroom opened up for everyone to enter,  I lined up the 17 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Ashley chose Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars for the bridal party intros and Can't Stop This Feeling by J. Timberlake for her and Chris' intro.  The first dance was to Perfect by Ed Sheeran then Ashley danced with her dad to First Man by C. Cabello and Chris danced with his mom to You'll Be In My Heart by Phil Collins.  The toasts were given by Alfonso (father of the bride), Wayne (best man) and Thaymar (maid of honor).  Chris' mom gave the welcoming speech and the reception was under way.  Ashley did provide me with a play list that included top 40, heavy latin favorites, country, classic rock and hip-hop.  Great mix of genres for this fun/electric group of guests.  After dinner the dance floor filled up quickly and they only took a break for the cake cutting (no garret/bouquet toss).  I also took the time to play an anniversary song towards the end of the evening for all of the couples.  The closing song for the evening was You Are The Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne and that put a bow on a great Sunday night Jacaranda wedding.  Congrats to Ashley, Chris and the entire Thompson and Murphy families.
