Good Day bloggers!!!
DJ Gregg here with this week's installment of the WEDDING BLOG....
On Saturday, I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Alexander and Stephanie on their wedding day! The wedding and reception was held at the Jacaranda Country club in Plantation. This is a great venue, with panoramic views of a lake and the golf course.
As the guests gathered in the gazebo near the lake, I played some NEO Classical music to set a very nice tone. Then the bridal party walked down the aisle. Soon after, Stephanie arrived and walked to meet her man. I played "A Thousand Years". The ceremony was performed by a family friend and it was flawless. Then, as the couple left, I played "Marry You" by Bruno Mars.
Cocktail hour was held outside, as was the rest of the event. It was a crisp and clear evening. Beautiful to say the least! The area was decorated with Royal Blue Uplights provided by Eddie B & Company!
While the guests were settling in, I played some funky tunes to set a cool mood for a great party.
To introduce the bridal party, I was asked to play" Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO. Then Alexander and Stephanie entered with "Bring Em Out" by T.I..
The guests ignited with applause and everyone rose to their feet! I then asked Alexander to take Stephanie's hand and escort her to the center of the dance floor.
Their first dance was "Amazed " by Lonestar. It went over perfectly! After a thunderous applause, I invited Stephanie to dance with her dad. They chose "I loved her first" by Heartland.
During this song, I invited ALL of the guests to dance along.
The dance floor was soon packed!
Afterwards, I invited the guests to take a quick break while Lindsay, Violet, Nicole, Chris and Larry (the father of the Groom) gave speeches and toasted the new couple.
Shortly after that, Brad, the brother of the bride invited everyone to bow their heads in prayer and to bless the meal that was about to be served.
Dinner went well, I played some special requests for Stephanie and Alexander.
As soon as dinner was over, I got the party started..
Everyone was ready to go! It was a really fun crowd and the dance floor was packed the entire evening.
I was able to play music from all genres and eras. The crowd especially liked top 40, classic rock, oldies, and Latin Music.
It was a great group and everyone was having a great time.
I then invited our newlyweds to cut the cake... I played "How sweet it is" by Marvin Gaye. Shortly after that I did the Bouquet toss. I played "Single Ladies" by Beyonce".
It went over great and it was a lot of fun.
Now, I got back into the party and we danced the rest of the evening!
It was a really great party and I wish Alexander and Stephanie a wonderful life together!
