Wedding and Reception at Jacaranda Country Club

Christina and Willie Rogers celebrated their wedding at the Jacaranda Country Club in Plantation, FL on 3/26/2022.  Christina took the weather completely out of the picture by having the  ceremony in-doors.  Approximately 100 close friends and family members arrived to the club that Saturday early evening just in time for the ceremony then they were all invited to the club house bar for the cocktail hour.  I played a mix of latin favorites at the cocktail hour and also took the time to decorate the ballroom with a monogram (with their names and the date) which is provided by Eddie B & Company.  As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 18 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  The bridal party chose separate songs for their intros and Christina chose The Miz WWF Theme Song for her and Willie's intro.  The first dance was to a mix of Can You Stand The Rain by Boyz II Men and Sure Thing by Miguel then Christina danced with her dad to Once Upon A December from the Anastasia Soundtrack and Willie danced with his mom to Hey Mama by Kanye.  The toasts were given by all 11 members of the bridal party then Willie and Christina thanked everyone for attending their big day.  After dinner the dance floor filled up very quickly.  Christina provided me with a play list that included top 40, latin favorites, reggae and classic R&B.  Amazing energy all night from this fun group. I took a few requests for more latin tunes and for some of the newer group dances.  The cake cutting and the garter/bouquet toss were performed as the evening progressed but it was really the dance floor that was hot hot hot all night.  The last songs for the evening were One More Time by Daft Punk and Closing Time by Semisonic and that put a bow on a very fun Saturday night wedding.
