Wedding and Reception at Maggiano's / Boca Raton
Gabi and Stefano had their wedding and reception at Maggiano's Little Italy in Boca Raton on Saturday January, 28, 2023 and I had the pleasure of DJing. Eddie B & Company provided LED up lights and LED dance floor lights. While the guests arrived I played songs like Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, Crazy Love by Van Morrison and Working My Way Back to you by Four Tops. I spoke with Gabi's Father after setting up who told me he used to be a DJ at a club so I was very interested in his critique after the reception! Stephano and Gabi's Pastor performed the ceremony and thanked Jesus Christ for bringing them together and asked for God to be in their marriage. The couple wrote their own vows which were beautiful and exchanged them in front of my DJ booth with all the guests looking on. They did not do the traditional entrances or exits and it worked out VERY nicely and was a very intimate setting. After they kissed I played Gabi and Stefano's First Dance which was the acoustic version of Lauv - I Like Me Better When I'm With You. After that Gabi danced with her father Clayton to Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong - Dream and Little Dream of Me. Then Stefano danced with his mom to the acoustic version of One Call Away by Charlie Puth.
During dinner I played songs like Lucky by Jason Mraz, Michael Buble's version of Wonderful Tonight, Lady Gaga - You and I, and also some Christian music like Waymaker by Michael W. Smith and You Say by Lauren Daigle. After dinner Gabi's father Clayton gave a toast and brought up all five of her sisters! Then Giancarlos, the groom's brother and the Bride's sister Isabella went. The room was filled with joy and laughter. Then I got everyone to come up to the dancefloor for a group pic and played Hey Ya! by Outkast! This guests loved line dances like Cupid Shuffle, Ed Sheeran - Shivers, the Wobble and Soulja Boy and they were good at them! This group was there to dance and have fun. I played sets of Latin from Pepas to Danza Kuduro to Suavemente. Then I mixed in Shakira's new one and Bad Bunny - Efecto. After that I put on a set with Backstreet Boys, Dynamite, Shake It by Metro Station and Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon. Gabi had some songs from growing up that she wanted to hear and they were Hilary Duff - What Dreams are Made Of, Jonas Brothers - Burning Up and Year 3000 and Big Time Rush - Boyfriend. I played Flo Rida - Good Feeling and PItbull - Time of Our Lives. The night wrapped up with I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas, One More Time by Daft Punk, Don't Stop Believing by Journey and The Time by Black Eyed Peas which covers one of my favorite end of the night songs, Time of Our Lives. It was an honor to DJ Gabi and Stefano's wedding. Their family is wonderful and so are their friends. I wish them the best future! And Gabi's father said I did a great job.
