Wedding and Reception at Margaritaville
Rachel and Kevin Murphy celebrated their dream wedding at the Margaritaville Hotel in Hollywood, FL on 6/9/2018. This amazing wedding began with an outdoor ceremony on the 11th floor by the pool deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Approximately 100 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot then they were all invited to the cocktail hour on the 9th floor. I played a mix of tropical and country tunes while everyone enjoyed drinks and appetizers. Myself and Chris took the time to decorate the ballroom with 24 amber, LED, wireless up-lights, dance floor lights, a 55" flat screen for a photo montage, a monogram/gobo with their names and our signature "Strike A Pose" photo booth all provided by Eddie B & Company. As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 16 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Rachel chose 24k Magic by Bruno Mars for the bridal party entrance and Sweet Child 'O Mine by GNR for her and Kevin's entrance. The first dance was to Who I Am With You by Chris Young then Rachel danced with her brother Kirk to Stand By Me by Ben E. King and Kevin danced with his mom to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion. The toasts were given by Matthew (best man) and Sheena (maid of honor). Everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal and the reception was in full swing. Rachel did provide me with a play list that included top 40, heavy country, disco and 90s dance hits. What a great mix of genres for these fun/enrgetic group of guests. After dinner the dance floor filled up very quickly. They only took a break for the garter/bouquet toss and the cake cutting. As the evening progressed I took a few request for some of the newer line dances and group dances. The closing song for the evening was Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble and that put a bow on an amazing Saturday night Margaritaville wedding!!!! Congrats to Rachel, Kevin and the entire Murphy and Van Horn families.
