Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this installment of the Wedding Blog.
Today's episode brings us to the beautiful Margaritaville Resort on Hollywood Beach for the wedding and reception of Kelly and Sam. This venue is excellent with ocean views galore!
The ceremony for the event was held on the 9th floor overlooking the ocean... A beautiful day!
As the guests arrived, I played some Neo Classical tunes by the Vitamin String Quartet music per the request of Sam and Kelly.
The bridal party entered to "Canon in D Minor" by Pachabel
Then Kelly walked down the aisle to "Here Comes The Bride".
The ceremony was very special, as they exchanged special vows to each other.
The nuptials ended with "Marry You" by Bruno Mars playing.
The Cocktail Hour was performed by the steel drummer supplied by Eddie B & Co. He filled the lobby with beach sounds and lots of Reggae!
After the cocktail hour. I invited the guests into the main ballroom with some funky music playing in the background. The room was bathed in Fuchsia LED up lights provided by Eddie B & Company.
I then proceeded to line up the bridal party for the GRAND ENTRANCE. The parents and bridal party were introduced with "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang playing. Then I asked Kelly and Sam to make their entrance. I played "Can't Stop this Feeling" by Justin Timberlake. I then segued into the first dance.. "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. When that ended, I asked Kelly to dance with her dad. They started off with "Because you Loved Me" by Celine Dion, however, I was asked to abruptly end it after a minute or so to play "Sweet Child Of Mine" by Guns and Roses.. the guests erupted in applause and laughter! Now it was Sam's turn to dance with his mom. They chose "Forever and Ever Amen" by Randy Travis. Shortly after that I invited the maid of honor and best man, Nicole and Michael to say a special toast and dedication to the Sam and Kelly. It was very touching.
At dinner time, the photo booth provided by Eddie B. & Company opened. Chris, the attendant was very eager to take the pics of everybody there!
Sam and Kelly wanted a smooth feeling during dinner. So I played a lot of light vocals and standards.
.After dinner I invited all of the guests to dance to lots of disco, 70's and 80's
Kelly and Sam are old souls and really love older music.
There were no other formalities...
It was a lot of fun!
