Saturday evening May21st at The famous Margarittaville in Hollywood is where Craig and Shelly were joined by family and friends from all over to celebrate a long time coming nrw beginning with all four of their children. Prior to the ceremony, the bar on the pool deck was opened for welcome cocktails as I played Reggae, steel drum and a lot of Jimmy Buffet as requested by the newlyweds.
Ceremony was on the pool deck overlooking the Hollywood Beach and the ocean. Craig and the kids were waiting with the officiant as Shelly walked down the aisle to One Love escorted by her mom. The officiant was a friend of Craig and Shelly, performed a very humorous ceremony and the pronounced them husband and wife as they walked back down the aisle with their children to 3 Little Birds, the steel drum version.
During cocktail hour friends and family enjoyed the sounds of Brian Henry a steel drummer from Eddie B & Company that played all genres of music on the steel drums as guests enjoyed immensely.
Following cocktail hour guests were asked to find their seats on the pool deck where the reception was held as the area was highlighted with Cyan Blue LED up lights provided by Eddie B & Company. I introduced Craig and Shelly to I Gotta Feeling and then they proceeded to grab their champagne glasses and did a toast and welcome speech. The first dance was Ready to Live Again by Lady A.
The food stations were open as I played music that was requested by Craig and Shelly to include lots of Jimmy Buffet, some country and songs from the music request sheet.
Following dinner, the party got rocking as they danced to hits from the 90's and 2000's and todays top 40. From Pitbulls dance songs from Fireball to Don't Stop the party. The guests also loved to do line dances like the Cupid Shuffle, the Wobble and even Cotton Eyed Joe.
The cake cutting was done to Cake by The Ocean.
At the conclusion of the event, Shelly and Craig approached me and informed me that they were very pleased with the selection of music and the interaction I had done with their friends and family. The closing song was Friends in Low Places, Don't Stop Believing and then Lovely Cruise by Jimmy Buffet.
Great night with Great people…..DJ Marc Evans.
