Wedding and Reception at Royal Fiesta Apr-2017
Lea and Frank Denson celebrated their dream wedding at Royal Fiesta Catering in Deerfield Beach, FL on 3/31/2017. This amazing wedding began with an indoor ceremony on the first floor of the venue. Approximately 100 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot and make it official with a big kiss. They were all invited to the 2nd floor for the cocktail hour and reception immediately after the ceremony. I played a mix of tropical/easy listening tunes while everyone mingled and while Lea and Frank posed for pictures. When it was time for the reception to start I lined up the 10 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Lea chose Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars for the bridal party entrance and Sugar by Maroon 5 for her and Frank's entrance. The first dance was to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran then Lea had a special dance with her son Nikolaus to My Wish by Rascal Flatts. The maid of honor Deana and the matron of honor Jenn along with the best man Nat gave the best toasts I have heard in a long time. How funny!!! Lisa Eady gave the blessing of the meals then the 1st of a 3 course meal was served. Lea did not provide me with a play list since I have DJed several events for her family. She trusted my judgment when it came to the music choices. I played a mix of top 40, latin favorites, r&b, hip-hop and 90s dance hits that evening and boy did everyone enjoy the mix of genres. As the night progressed they had a garter/bouquet toss along with the cake cutting ceremony. It was great to see some familiar faces and neighbors that night dancing the night away. The closing songs for the evening were I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz and Ain't No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye. Perfect ending to a perfect wedding!!
Congrats to Lea, Frank and the entire Denson and Papantonatos families!! This wedding was in honor of Lori and Nikolaus Papantonatos who were my neighbors for many years and will never be forgotten! R.I.P. Nik and Lor.
