Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the Wedding blog. On Friday , October 13th I had the pleasure of being the DJ at Nick and Michelle's wedding. It was held at the beautiful Royal Fiesta in Deerfield Beach. I love this place!
As the guests arrived to the ceremony, I played some NEO classical music by the Vitamin String Quartet to set the mood.
The bridal party walked down the aisle to Haikyuu!! by OST
Then Michelle entered to "You Became a Hero" from Japanese Anime. The ceremony was officiated by a close family friend. It was very touching.
The bride and groom exited to "Fairy Tale Theme" by Japanese Anime
I then invited the guests upstairs for cocktail hour and reception. I played some down tempo EDM to keep a cool vibe.
After the cocktail hour, I lined the bridal party up and introduced them into the ballroom. I was asked to use"Levels" by Avicii . Then Nick and Michelle entered with "Jeenah Jeenah" the Arabic Wedding Song. They did a great routine, bringing in the parents and getting everyone involved. It was fun.
I announced their first dance "Falling In Love" by Dennis Kruissen was the choice. It worked perfectly. I then played the father/daughter dance. "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul, and Mary. Then "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong for Nick to dance with his Mom. The champagne was poured and it was time to say a few words. This was a highlight of the evening. Nick's family is from Trinidad, and it is customary to give speeches. There were eight planned. We even rolled out a podium for everyone to speak. It was very touching and, at times very funny!
I then proceeded to invite the guests to the buffet for dinner.
During dinner I played some oldies, R&B, and smooth tunes as requested by the bride and groom.
Once dinner was over, everyone was ready to get out and party, so that is exactly what they did! I played a lot of SOCA and top 40 as requested by Nick and Michelle. The dance floor was packed all night long!!!!
We cut the cake with "Cut The Cake" by AWB. Then we did the bouquet toss.
After that we danced the rest of the evening. It was a lot of fun...
