Destination weddings in the Keys are special!! Especially when it is at Southern Diversion in Islamorada. Chelsea and Justin Chew did it big on March 11, 2012. They put together an unforgettable wedding for their close friends and family to enjoy with all the bells and whistles. The event began with a breath-taking ceremony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean that was witnessed by approximately 75 guests. The cocktail hour took place on the pool deck where everyone enjoyed drinks, appetizers and steel drum music as Chelsea and Justin posed for pictures. Soon after it was time for the grand entrance. The reception took place in a huge white tent right on the property where it was decorated with up-lights (by Eddie B and Co), chairs, tables and a dance floor. The entire bridal party including bride and groom entered to Crazy Train by Black Sabbath. Chelsea and Justin went right into their first dance Two Is Better Than One by Boys Like Girls then everyone joined them half way through the song. The maid of honor and best man made to great speeches then all of the guests were treated to a bountiful buffet style dinner. Towards the end of dinner Chelsea requested to dance with her dad to Little Miss Magic by Jimmy Buffett and Justin danced with his mom to Masterpiece by Sandi Patty. Chelsea and Justin did not provide a song list so they left it up to me to get everyone to dance and have fun. It wasn't hard since all of the guests were energized and excited to be part of their big day. I played a mix of top 40, country, booty music, hip-hop, oldies, disco and took plenty of requests from the guests. After the cake cutting I played some love songs for the couples then it was back to hardcore dancing until the end. Chelsea did not plan on performing the garter/bouquet toss but after some nudging by the bridal party it was on. The last song for the evening was Marry You by Bruno Mars...what a great way to end the night. Congrats to Chelsea, Justin and the Chew, Suddarth and Rhodes families for a night to remember. You guys are definitely party animals!!!! DJ Ray
