Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog.
On Sunday, 02/17/19 I had the pleasure of hosting the wedding ceremony and reception for Evan and Stephanie.
It was held at the Temple Dor Dorim in Weston!.
As the guests arrived for the ceremony I played some modern classical tunes. The bridal party walked out to "A Sky Full Of Stars" by the Piano Guys. Steph made her appearance shortly after that. As she walked out, the guests were listening to "I Can't Help Falling In Love " by The O'Neil Brothers. This was a traditional Jewish ceremony with an exquisite "Chuppah" canopy. The cantor, who was also Steph's aunt, started off in prayerful song. The ceremony ended with the breaking of the glass and "Simon Tov And Mazel Tov". The recessional song was " you and Me" by The Dave Matthews Band.
After the ceremony, all of the guests enjoyed drinks and refreshments. I played some light vocal tunes and standards chosen by Evan and Stephanie.
The main dining room was almost prepared. It looked great! The Amber up lights provided by Eddie B. & Company really set the room off nicely. There was also a Signature Gobo with Evan and Stephanie's name on it. It too, was provided by Eddie B & Company.
As the guests walked in I played some upbeat music, again to set a mood of fun.
The grand entrance of the bridal party arrived. I was asked to play "Can't Stop This Feeling" By . We then showed a short slideshow and video. I then introduced Brian and Deb. The place exploded with applause! They continued to dance to the intro song. I then asked them to dance their first dance. "This Year's Love" by David Gray. It went over beautifully.
I was then excited to introduce the traditional parent dances. I was asked to use "We Are Family" and then invite all of the guests to join in. Soon after that we did the traditional "Hora". We were able to raise Evan and Steph in the chairs. It was awesome! Once that ended, I asked Howard and Esther to do the traditional Motzi and Kiddish blessings. Then the toasts were given by Sandi, Heather and Eric. They reflected on friendship and great times for Evan and Steph. Now the dinner service started. I kept it light playing tunes from all ages and genres. I also made the announcement that the photo booth was opened. This was also provided by Eddie B & Company.
After dinner I picked up the pace. I played music from the 80's 90' early 2000's as well as some audience participation tunes. I have to say that the dance floor was busy all evening long!
It was a lot of fun!!
