Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the WEDDING BLOG.
On Sunday I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Rayna and Anas. They had their wedding and reception party at the B Ocean resort in Ft. Lauderdale. This is a very nice venue with ocean views abound!
The ceremony was held out on the beach. It was a perfect afternoon. The rain had decided to stay away and a nice breeze set the tone. I played some NEO Classical during the prelude. Then the bridal party entered with "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King. Soon after, Rayna walked down the aisle to "God Gave Me You" by Blake Shelton. The ceremony was performed by Rayna's sister Angela. It was perfect!
Cocktails were served upstairs on the 2nd floor. I played some smooth tunes per Rayna's request.
After that, I invited all of the guests to the main room. It was decorated beautifully and lit up with Amber Up Lights provided by Eddie B. & Company.
The introductions went flawlessly. I played "I Wanna Dance with Somebody " by Whitney Houston for the bridal party and then I used "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie wonder for the entrance of Rayna and Anas. The crowd erupted with applause! Next I invited Rayna and Anas to dance the first dance. "You Make It Easy" by Jason Aldean was requested. Then Rayna danced with her Mom. They chose" "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. I Then invited Anas to dance with his new Mother In Law. They chose "I hope you Dance" by Leann Womack. I soon invited all of the guests to join in. We finished the song with a full dance floor. I then asked all of the guests to find their seats. I invited Autumn and Nezar, the maid of honor and best man to do the toast and dedications.
Now dinner was served. I played some old school tunes, light rock and vocals. It went over great! I also mentioned to the guests that the photo booth was opened. It was manned by Chris and provided by Eddie B. & Company.
After dinner we really got the party started! This was truly a dancing crowd and the dance floor was packed all evening. I was able to play all different styles and genres of music. It was a really well rounded crowd. Anas and Rayna really enjoyed top 40 and Hip Hop. The cake was cut using "How Sweet it Is" by James Taylor as background music. Anas had a great time slamming Rayna with cake!
Shortly after that I picked up the pace again and got the party going!
We then slowed it back down to do the bouquet and garter toss. After that I picked up the pace again. I played a lot of hip hop and top 40 music.
A great time for them and a great experience for me!
