Talk about a wedding with all the works!! This was it!! Melina and Mike Pieroni celebrated their wedding at the
B Ocean Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 5/4/2013 and they did it big like we do in NY. The entire event was held indoors. The ceremony took place in the far east room where approximately 90 friends and family members witnessed Mike and Melina tie the knot with a spectacular (Pent House) view of the Atlantic Ocean. After the ceremony all of the guests were invited to the cocktail hour where they enjoyed drinks, appetizers and the smooth jazz sounds of the man himself, sax soloist, Michael Kennedy. Melina and Mike added him to their wedding package through Eddie B & Co. During the cocktail hour the bridal party posed for pictures with immediate family members as we set up the "Strike A Pose" photo booth inside of the main ballroom. The ballroom was also decorated with 20 lavender color up-lights and dance floor lights for ambiance. We also prepared the Nimbus cloud for the first dance. The photo booth, lights and Nimbus was all included in the package which Mike and Melina chose for their big day. After the cocktail hour all of the guests were directed to the main ballroom for the reception and grand entrance. I lined up the very excited 16 member bridal party as everyone found their seats and we were ready to rock. Melina and Mike chose Beautiful Day by U2 as the entrance song for the bridal party and Levels by Avicii for their entrance song. The guests were up and clapping before I got a chance to ask them to. The first dance was to At Last by Etta James. As Melina and Mike dance we started the Nimbus cloud effect which is a vapor cloud that only rises approximately 18 inches from the floor. It worked perfect and they were thrilled with the outcome. Everyone found their seats for the first course and soon after Dee Dee (maid of honor), Anthony Jr. (best man) and Melina's best friend Kristen gave the toasts. Melina and Mike did provide me with a small play list that I used and added some of my own special mixes. I played a mix of top 40, classic rock, disco, country, r&b and Italian classics. Towards the end of the main course Melina requested a dance with her mom and two brothers to Stand By Me by Ben E. King. Soon after Mike danced with his mom to Unforgettable by Nat and Natalie Cole then surprised his Aunt Linda with a special song for her. It was What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. The dance floor was really hot by then and they all danced until it was time for the garter/bouquet toss and the cake cutting. The dancing continued until the end then I played New York, NY by Frank Sinatra for the last song. I planned for Mike and Melina to dance in the middle of a big circle and when the song ended and I counted to 3, all of the guests popped streamers right over their heads. The pictures were priceless!!! Congrats to Melina, Mike and the entire Fasciana, Shearer, Rizotto and Pieroni families. This wedding had it all and it was an honor to be part of this amazing day. Thank you Mike and Melina for making me feel like family!!!! Go Yanks!!!!
