Trish and Ronnie Thompson celebrated their dream wedding at the Bahia Mar Hotel and Marina in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 8/24/2019. The ceremony took place at a nearby church then all of the 125 guests were invited to the Bahia Mar for the cocktail hour and reception. As the guests arrived they were greeted with drinks, appetizers and the smooth/live sounds of our very own Stuey Blue on the saxophone. When the guests made their way into the ballroom and found their seats, Trish and Ronnie entered the ballroom to Run Like Hell by Pink Floyd..(everyone got a kick out of that one)!! Then they went into their first dance which was a mix of At Last by Etta James then everyone was invited to the dance floor for a classic The First, The Last, My Everything by Barry White. What a great way to start a wedding reception. The toasts were given by Krissy (maid of honor) then Trish and Ronnie gave the welcoming speech and Mr. John Miracola gave the blessing of the meals. Trish did not provide me with a play list because she has seen me in action many times before. As the evening progressed Ronnie invited his mom Patty to the dance floor and danced to Forever Young by Rod Stewart. What a nice touch by the man of the hour!! There was no cake cutting ceremony or garter/bouquet toss but Trish did have a very large dessert table for everyone with a sweet tooth to enjoy. The closing song for the evening was Save The Last Dance For Me by The Drifters. All of the remaining guests gathered on the dance floor with the happy couple for a big send-off.
Congrats to Trish, Ronnie and the entire Thompson family.
Special thanks to one of the best staffs in Ft. Lauderdale...The Bahia Mar is one of our favorite venues!!
