Julia & Jon Wellman celebrated their dream wedding at the Bahia Mar Hotel and Marina in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 1/18/2020. This amazing wedding began with an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour at the courtyard and dock area. Approximately 100 close friends and family members arrived to the Bahia Mar and were all directed to the ceremony. After they witnessed the happy couple tie the knot they all enjoyed drinks and appetizers at the cocktail hour. I played a mix of tropical tunes while they all mingled. Myself and Chris decorated the ballroom with 20 amber, LED, wireless up-lights, dance floor lights and our "Open Air" photo booth all provided by Eddie B & Company. As the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 14 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Julia chose Bring' Em Out by T.I. for the bridal party intros and I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas for her and Jon's intro. The first dance was to Lover by Taylor Swift then Julia danced with her dad to Diamonds and Daughters by Aaron Watson and Jon danced with his mom to Never Alone By Lady Antebellum. All of the guests found their seats then Candice (maid of honor) and Josiah and Chad (best men) gave the toasts. The first of a 3 course meal was served and the reception was in full swing. Julia did provide me with a play list that included top 40, country, 80s and 90s dance hits, latin favorites and EDM. Perfect mix of genres for this fun/upbeat group of guests. The cake cutting ceremony and the garter/bouquet toss were performed as the evening progressed and I did take a few requests for some of the newer group/line dances. The last song for the evening was Closing Time by SemiSonic that is when everyone joined Julia and Jon on the dance floor for a huge group hug/send-off. Congrats to Julia, Jon and the entire Wellman and Bain families.
Special thanks to the staff at the Bahia Mar for always providing excellent service.
