Good Day Wedding Bloggers!
This past Saturday, February 26th, I had the pleasure of being the DJ and entertainment for Ryan and Helena's wedding and reception.
The venue was the Bahia Mar in Ft. Lauderdale. A beautiful location overlooking the ocean!
As the guests arrived for the ceremony, I played some Neo-Classical music to signal that a classy event was about to occur. The bridal party walked down and then Helena arrived. She looked great! I played "Perfect" by The Brooklyn Duo. Once the ceremony ended, I invited everyone into the foyer for drinks and small fare. Once cocktail hour was over I invited the guests back into the main dining room. It was illuminated with blue up lighting provided by Eddie B & Company. I kept the bridal party outside and lined them up for the introductions. For that, I played "Handclaps" by Fitz and the Tantrums. This was really fun to watch! Every couple did a little dance as they entered.
Then I invited Ryan and Helena to join us. I played Levitating by Dua Lipa. The room erupted with applause! It was great.
Soon after that I played the first dance..."Faithfully" by Journey. Then Helena danced with her dad. They chose "Kiss Me" by Six Pence None The Richer. Now it was Ryan's turn to dance with his mom. They requested "You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins. I then invited all of the guests to dance along with them. It was a touching moment.
Now I asked everyone to take their seats and I proceeded to ask the parents to say a few words as well as Rock, Sophia and Joseph, the Maid of Honor and Best Man. Lots of laughter and tears!
Soon dinner was served. I played some cool tunes per the request of Ryan and Helena. After dinner is when I turned up the heat. This was a fun group and that is exactly what we had....FUN!. We danced the rest of the evening! Our guests were really into all types of music. Oldies, disco, hip hop, top 40. You name it, they danced it!.
We then cut the cake. I played "Cake By The Ocean" by DNCE. Then Helena threw the bouquet. "Only Girl in The World" by Rihanna was requested.
Shortly after that, we got the group dancing again and we never looked back...
A great time for a great couple. Congratulations to Ryan and Helena. May you be blessed with many years of happiness ahead of you!
