Wedding and Reception at the Bahia Mar Resort

Elizabeth and Joshua Fletcher celebrated their wedding at the Bahia Mar Resort and Marina in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 3/18/2022.  Approximately 75 close friends and family members arrived to the resort that early Friday evening and they were directed to the dockside ceremony.  After the happy couple tied the knot everyone was invited to the 2nd floor of the resort for the cocktail hour and reception.  I played a mix of tropical tunes at the cocktail hour and also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 20 amber, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company.  As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 16 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Elizabeth chose Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars for the bridal party intros and Crazy In Love by Beyonce for her and Joshua's intro.  The first dance was to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran then Elizabeth danced with her dad to This Dance by Scott Thomas and Joshua danced with his mom to Days Like This by Van Morrison.  The toasts were given by Christine (maid of honor) and Brett (best man) then everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal.  The energy in the room that evening was contagious!  After dinner the dance floor opened up and it was a non-stop dance party all night.  The cake cutting and the garter/bouquet toss were preformed as the evening progressed but the dance floor was the place to be.  The bride's little cousin Carter performed a song on his acoustic guitar and I did take lots of requests for some of the newer line dances.  The closing song for the evening was This Will Be by Natalie Cole and that put a bow on a great Friday night Bahia Mar wedding.
