Wedding and Reception at the Beachcomber Hotel / Pompano

Melissa and Alfred Longo celebrated their dream destination wedding at the Beach Comber Resort in Pompano Beach, FL on 7/12/2015.  This Sunday wedding began with a beautiful beach ceremony over-looking the Atlantic Ocean.  Approximately 35 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot then were invited to a poolside cocktail hour.  As the guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers I played a mix of Dave Matthews Band favorites.  Melissa is a huge Dave Matthews fan!  After the cocktail hour all of the guests were directed into the ballroom for the grand entrance and reception.  Melissa chose I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends by The Beatles for the bridal party entrance and All You Need Is Love by The Beatles for her and Alfred's entrance.  The first dance was to Angel by Dave Matthews Band then Melissa danced with her dad to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle and Alfred danced with Melissa's mom to I Hope You Dance by L. Womack.  The toasts were given by Jamie (maid of honor) and Ty (best man) then the first of a three course meal was served.  Melissa did not provide me with a play list but did tell me to take requests and to play some classic rock.  The classic rock mix that I played that night was great.  All of the guests got a chance to dance that evening and I also played some top 40, oldies and country.  We did have a garter/bouquet toss and the cake cutting along with an anniversary dance to Thank You by Led Zeppelin.  This was a small but very fun group especially Melissa's dad Mr. Melillo who invited me to a birthday bash at his home in Aruba for next year.  Exciting!!  The last song for the evening was Melissa by Dave Matthews Band/The Allman Brothers as a tribute to the bride.  Congrats to Melissa, Alfred and the entire Longo and Melillo families.  Special thanks to the staff at the Beach Comber for their exceptional service.
