On Saturday July 30th, 2011 I played for Kay and John Moreland III and 75 guests at the Boca Bayou Yacht Club. The evening started with a traditional ceremony with the bridesmaids walking to Canon in D, and The Bridal March for Kay. The recessional was "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". After the cocktail reception I introduced the bridal party to "Party Rock Anthem" and Kay & John made their grand entrance to the center of the dance floor for their first dance "Only You Can Love Me Like This" by Keith Urban. After a buffet style dinner Kay danced with her father to "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder and then right on cue I mixed into "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" by Trace Adkins. This was planned and the results were unbelievable, everyone was on their feet cheering them on as they shook it up on the dance floor. Then John danced with his mother to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. After that for 2 hours plus it was a steady flow of party goers dancing to everything I played. This group was a lot of fun to play for and they enjoyed everything from the 60's right up to todays popular club hits. Later Kay & John cut their cake to "Lucky" by Jason Mraz & Colbie Callait, and we also did the traditional dollar dance. For the ending Kay chose "Time of my Life/Dirty Bit" and then "Closing Time" for the final 2 songs. I wished them well and sent them off to Key West for their honeymoon. Thanx again.......DJ/MC Eddie B!
