At the Boca Country Club on Saturday evening, Oct. 19, with DJ Marc Evans, on a
beautiful night, Trey and Anna were married outside in front of a small group of
friends and family. As the bridal party walked down the isle I played Canon In
D. Anna walked to Kissing You the instrumental by Desree.
Once pronounced husband and wife, You're So Cool by Hans Zimmer was played as
they proceeded back down the aisle as Mr. And Mrs. Oubre.
During cocktail
hour per the request of the bride, I kept it up beat in preparation for the
party.
The guests were invited to the reception room which was glowing with Amber LED up lights and dance floor lights provided by Eddie B & Company.
As I introduced the parents and the ladies of the
bridal party I played as requested Lady Marmalade. For the groomsmen I played
Good Life by Kanye West. The bride and groom entered into We Found Love by
Rihanna. After I had all the guests join in, I sat them down for the toasts.
After the first course I immediately went into dancing prior to dinner
starting with Blurred lines, Party Rock Anthem, Moves Like Jagger and even a
Cupid Shuffle that packed the dance floor. I then slowed it down and did some
slow songs to Bryan Adams, Everything I Do per the Bride and then dinner was
served.
During dinner I played off the music list, Coldplay, Sade,
Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, Drake, Brian McKnight and many more songs and
artists requested by the bride.
After dinner we dance some more to disco.
I Will Survive, That's The Way, Disco Inferno, Play That Funky Music and did the
Electric Slide as well.
Cutting the cake was to Ice Cream by Sara
McLachlin, and taking of the Garter was to Ricky Ricardo, Kaptn.
The
party got back on track as the guests danced to top 40, Rock and Roll, Shout,
Mony Mony, Journey, AC/DC and many more.
Both the Bride and Groom
approached me at the end of the party as I played Friends in Low Places one of
the closing songs, and thanked me for an unforgettable wedding. The father of
the bride thanked me for helping him out with his toast.
Off to Puerto
Rico for the honeymoon and to Ft Lauderdale for another wedding this weekend. DJ
Marc Evans rocked again.
