Michelle and Robson Souza celebrated their wedding at the Boca Country Club in Boca Raton, FL on 8/31/2019. Despite Hurricane Dorian knocking on South Florida's door the weather was perfect for an out-door ceremony on the golf course. Approximately 100 guests arrived to the Country Club and were directed to the ceremony where they witnessed the happy couple tie the knot. The indoor cocktail hour followed immediately after the ceremony. I played a mix of tropical and Brazilian easy listening tunes while they all mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. I also set up our Cumulus Cloud for the first dance which was an add-on to their wedding package. As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 9 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Michelle chose Brazil by Venga Boys for the bridal party intros and Crazy In Love by Beyonce for her and Robson's intro. The first dance was to Make You Feel My Love by Adele then Michelle danced with her dad to Michelle by The Beatles and Robson danced with his mom to You Are The Sunshine Of My Life by Stevie Wonder. All of the guests found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal. The toasts were given after the first course by Stephanie (maid of honor) and Caio (best man) and the reception was in full swing. Michelle did not provide me with a play list but she did ask me to play a mix of genres that would make her guests want to dance. After dinner the dance floor filled up very quickly. I played a mix of top 40, Samba and 80s and 90s dance hits. They really seamed to enjoy the music that evening and only took a break for the cake cutting ceremony and the bouquet toss (no garter). Towards the end of the evening all of the guests were asked to garter at the front of the club for a sparkler send-off. I played Closing Time by Semisonic and that was how this great wedding ended.
Congrats to Michelle, Robson and the entire Souza family.
Special thanks to Tara and her amazing staff at the Boca CC. They are truly professionals and make the wedding day run exceptionally smooth.
