Frank and Tara McAlonan celebrated their wedding on 3/9/2012 at the beautiful Cabana Club in Delray Beach, FL with 90 friends and family. The event began with a beach ceremony where Tara was accompanied by her father down the isle to Your So Cool by Hans Zimmer. The weather was perfect that day as they exchanged their vows overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The party continued at cocktail hour where everyone enjoyed drinks, appetizers and Rat Pack oldies requested by Tara. For the grand entrance the bridal party entered to Everything Tonight by Pitbull and NeYo and the bride and groom entered to Say Hey (I Love You) by Michael Franti. Frank and Tara went right into their first dance which was Two Hearts by Chris Isaac then half way through everyone joined them. There were no parents dances so the maid of honor and best man made their two great speeches. Everyone was then treated to a buffet style dinner as the drinks were flowing and dinner was in full swing. Tara requested that I play some love songs for all of the couples during dinner. She also provided me with a great list of songs for some after dinner dancing. And boy did they dance!! The dance floor was packed the entire evening as I played a mix of top 40, oldies, country classics and classic rock. The highlight of the evening was when Frank and all of his friends (UF Alumni) gathered on the dance floor to sing We Are The Boys (The Florida Gator Song they play at the end of the third quarter). Tara and her girls also had a nice group dance to the song Fins by Jimmy Buffet. Also I can't forget that one of the groomsmen Noah surprised everyone by playing a few songs with his bagpipe. He got a huge applause for that! The last songs for the evening were Glory Days by Bruce Springstein and Don't Stop Believing by Journey. An excellent way to end a great wedding. Congrats to Frank and Tara and to the entire McAlonan and Simone families. You guys rock!! DJ Ray
