On Saturday March 2nd, 2013 I was back in paradise at the Coconut Cove Resort in Islamorada playing for Yami and Alex Bolivar and ninety eight family members and friends. It was a cool brisk evening, but never the less the ceremony took place on the beach. I played "Can You Feel The Love" by Elton John for the bridal party, and Yami walked to "Giving My Life" by Jenifer Hudson. I also mixed in "The Moment" by Kenny G for the sand ceremony, and for the recessional I played "Giving My Life" again, starting at a cue selected by the bride. The guests enjoyed Tropical Steel Drum music for the cocktail hour and Eddie B & Company's "Strike A Pose" photo booth! I introduced the bridal party to "I Gotta Feeling" and the newlyweds to "California Love" (instrumental version), by Tupak & Company. After dinner the first dance was done on the beach with a dazzling fire works show over the bay as Yami & Alex danced to "Amazed" by Lonestar. I invited all of the guests to gather around the dance floor as Yami danced with her father in law Luis Bolivar to "My Wish", and Alex danced with his mother Clara to "Song For Mama". Later the cake was cut to "This Will Be" by Natalie Cole and the dancing continued with 2 hours of over time! I played a mix of Salsa, Bachata, Top 40 Club Hits, and a few retro tunes from the 80's. The last song was "Give Me Everything" and by that time the temperature was in the low 50's! Congrats to Yami and Alex, I wish them all the best!!!! DJ/MC Eddie B!
