On Monday September 19th, 2011 I played for Angela and Matthew Kemp from Norwood Ohio, at the world famous Coconut Cove Resort in Islamorada, the Florida keys. The evening started out with a ceremony on the beach witnessed by 30 friends and family members. Angela was traditional and walked to the "Bridal March", for the brides maids it was "Canon In D". After they recited their own vows and sealed it with a kiss I played "Over The Rainbow" for the recessional. For cocktail hour I mixed a variety of steel drum music and some adult contemporary tunes. After dinner and a few toasts I invited everyone to the beach to witness the first dance which was "There Goes My Baby" by Usher. To their surprise the parents of the groom added the fireworks display over the bay while they danced. You should have seen the expression on the couples faces, they were speechless and so were the guests! Next I dedicated "Unforgetable" to Angela and her father, and "My Wish" for Matthew and his mother. They cut their wedding cake to "How Sweet It Is" and from there on they danced to a variety of country, Top 40, and retro 80's music. I also played a few Beatles tunes for the father of the bride. We ended the night with "Dirty Bit" (Time of My Life), and then everyone headed to the swimming pool. Thanx Angela and Matthew for making me a part of your special day in paradise!.......DJ/MC Eddie B!
