Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog.
Today's episode brings us to the Conrad Hotel for the wedding and reception of Jake and Jennie. This location is right on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale and has a huge room for the event.
The ceremony was supposed to be held outdoors, however mother nature had other plans. So plan B was to bring the guests into the ballroom. I played music from the Vitamin String quartet to set a nice elegant tone. For the wedding party introduction, I played " Yours" by Russell Dickerson. Then Jennie entered. She looked radiant! I played "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Haley Reinhardt. The ceremony was very traditional. The family pastor was asked to marry them. As the ceremony ended, I played "I Choose You" by Sara Bareilles. It worked perfectly.
After the ceremony, I invited the guests to go to the foyer for cocktails and refreshments. Gail, one of our steel drum players from Eddie B & Company, played all the favorite island tunes for everyone to enjoy!
The ballroom was open and it was illuminated with Amber LED up lights provided by Eddie B & Company. It really looked great!
The guests entered and found their seats. I then lined up the bridal party for the introductions. I played "Can't Stop This Feeling" by Justin Timberlake for the bridal party and "Bring Em Out" by T.I for Jake and Jennie.
They then danced "You Make It Easy" by Jason Aldean as the first dance. Once that ended, I asked Jennie to dance with her dad. They chose "Just Fishin" by Trace Adkins. Then Jake danced with his Step mom. They asked for "Like Jesus does" by Eric Church. I then asked Savannah, John, John, and John to say a few words and toast Jennie and Jake.
Next, dinner was started. At this point I introduced the live band to take over!
After dinner, I started the dancing with a slow song and proceeded to kick it after that! I played a lot of top 40, 90's 80's and 70's. The dance floor was packed!
I then asked the band to take over again. They also kept the beat going! It was a really nice mix and they kept the dance floor moving as well.
After that, we continued with the party.
This was a dancing crowd....the floor was packed all night!!!
As the evening came to a close, we invited all of the guests into the lobby for a "Glowstick" exit. WOW, it looked great!
Congrats to Jake and Jennie!
