Over looking the intercostal in front of the pool in a beautiful setting at the Crown Plaza in Hallandale on March 16th, 2013 is where DJ Marc Evans provided ceremony music for Matthew and Shannon. The bride and the bridal party walked down to Such Great Heights from the Section Quartet. When they were pronounced husband and wife I played Faster by Matt Nathanson...... great song!
The cocktail hour was outside by the pool and since all the guests are from Minnesota, I played Reggae and Island Music which was a big hit with all the out of town guests. As the guests entered the tent outside which was beautiful, the tent was well lit by wireless LED Cyan Blue uplights. Provided by Eddie B and Company. As I lined up the bridal party, they entered into the room to We Speak No Americano, and the bride and groom entered to the chant of the the Seven Nation Army. The first dance was to Lost Without You by Ronin Thicke, great choice.
After the toast and salad, Shannon danced with her dad to Wonderful World by Louie Armstrong. Matthew danced with his mom to Marie McGregors, There Is Love. Then the party rocked all night til the last second and beyond. They danced to retro hip hop, Top 40 hits, the Cupid Shuffle, Harlem Shake, and Party Rock Anthem. You name the song, they danced to it. There were 52 people at the party and 48 of them were on the dance floor alllllll night long.
The groom emailed me on his honeymoon to inform me once again that they had an unbelievable time and were thrilled that I was able to help create the party I promised them with memories tha will last a lifetime.
Off on there honeymoon and then back to the cold of Minnesota.
For me Marc Evans, off to the double tree for an outside wedding and then another wedding reception
