On Saturday September 3rd, 2011 I played for Lisa and David Gonzales and 80 family members and friends at the Deer Creek Country Club. For the ceremony, "Canon in D" was the choice for the bridesmaids and "From This Moment" was the processional for Lisa. After a very short ceremony (2 minutes), Lisa & David sealed their vows with a kiss and I played "Honey bee" by Blake Shelton. For the reception I introduced the bridal party to "Marry You" by Bruno Mars (Glee Cast Version), and their first dance was "Forever and Ever Amen" by Randy Travis. Lisa then danced with her father (Russ Radkay) to "I Loved Her First" by Heartland, and he also presented the toast. After dinner I started the party with a traditional Hora and from there on for two and a half hours it was party time. A mix of popular tunes from the 70's, 80's, and todays Top 40 hits kept the dance floor jumpin'. Lisa and David cut their wedding cake to "Sugar Sugar" by The Archies and "Hot Stuff" by Donna Summer was the choice for the bouquet toss. I also mixed in a few Salsa & Merengue songs and a few hits from the 60's. Since Lisa and David live in Pittsburgh I surprised them with the Steeler Polka, and all of their guests with Pittsburgh ties really enjoyed this famous tune. We ended the evening with a classic from Donna Summer, "Last Dance" and for the final time the dance floor was rocking! Thank you Lisa & David for giving the opportunity to play at your wedding.....DJ/MC Eddie B!
