On Saturday, February 25th, 2012 I played for a wedding at the Deer Creek Golf Club for Donna and Robert Miller. The evening started with a ceremony outside by the waterfall. When Robert walked out with his groomsmen I played "Waiting On A Woman" by Brad Paisley. For the bridal party It was "Wedding Day" by the Bee Gees, and Donna walked to the "Wedding Song" by Paul Stookey. After a short ceremony I played "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves and immediately put everyone in a party mood. For the cocktail reception it was a variety of Adult Contemporary hits and then I introduced the bridal party to "I Gotta Feeling" and Donna & Robert to "Honey Bee" by Blake Shelton. Their first dance was "Then" by Brad Paisley and later Donna dance with her son Eric and Robert with his mother Barbara to "The Perfect Fan" by the Backstreet Boys. During dinner I played a lot of love songs selected by Donna and then the dancing started with a mix of today's Top 40 club hits, a 70's Disco set, some Classic Rock, and little country mixed in. They cut their cake to "How Sweet It Is" by James Taylor and I played "Bobbies Girl" as a prelude to the cake cutting. I also included "Donna the Prima Donna" by Dion and "Donna" by Richie Valens. The Garter was removed to "Another One Bites the Dust" and the bouquet was tossed to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". The final two songs were "God Gave Me You" by Blake Shelton and finally "Dirty Bit" (Time of My Life). I want thank and wish Robert and Donna all the best life has to offer, it was a pleasure playing for their wedding.....DJ/MC Eddie B!
