John and Melanie Bartel celebrated their wedding at the Delray Beach Club in Delray Beach, FL on 4/26/2014. This great wedding began with a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The weather was perfect as approximately 80 guests witnessed Melanie and John recite their vows and make it official with a big kiss. The cocktail hour was also held outdoors at the cabana bar and the music was provided by a live steel drummer that just happened to be John and Melanie's neighbor. All of the guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers as immediate family members posed for pictures with the happy couple. All of the guests were then invited to the ballroom which was decorated with 24 light blue colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. As they found their seats I lined up the 11 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Melanie chose Wipe Out by The Ventures for the bridal party entrance and A Thing Called Love by The Darkness for her and John's entrance. The first dance was to Are You Gonna Kiss Me by Thompson Square then Melanie danced with her brother John to What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and John danced with his mom to A Song For My Son by M. Viereck. The toasts were given by Robin (maid of honor) and Alex (best man) then John's dad gave the prayer before the meal. The 1st of a 3 course meal was served and the reception was under way. Melanie and John did provide me with a play list of their favorite tunes and they also requested that I play my own party bangers. The dance floor got busy quickly after everyone enjoyed the main course. I played a mix of top 40, classic rock, r&b, hip-hop, 70's and 80's dance hits and classic rap. There was no garter/bouquet toss but they did take the time to enjoy some delicious wedding cup cakes. This was definitely a great dance crowd who danced until the last song which was Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble. Congrats to Melanie, John and the entire Huegel and Bartel families. Special thanks to the staff and management at the Delray Beach Club for their excellent work and for helping me to make everything run smoothly.
