Laronda and Rolando Garcia tied the knot on a beautiful Saturday late afternoon at the Don Shula Hotel in Miami Lakes, on 7/6/2013. The event began with an outdoor ceremony in the courtyard by the pool. Approximately 70 guests witnessed Laronda walk down the isle with her her dad and step-dad as Rolando looked on with anticipation. The ceremony which was officiated by Pastor Ben went smoothly then all of the guests were invited to the cocktail hour which also took place outdoors. Soon after the cocktail hour all of the guests were directed to the main ballroom for the grand entrance and reception. The ballroom was decorated with 20 Royal Blue wireless up lights and LED dance floor lights provided by Eddie B & Company. Laronda chose Crazy In Love by Beyonce and Jay-Z for the bridal party and for her and Rolando's entrance. They danced their first dance to Mi Bendicion by Juan Luis Guerra then Laronda danced with her dad to Dance With My Father Again by Luther Vandross then asked that her step-dad step in for the second half of the song. Rolando also got a chance to dance with his mom to A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men then Holly (maid of honor) and Luis (best man) made the two funny but heart-felt toasts. Pastor Ben gave the prayer before the meal then the first of 3 courses was served. Laronda did provide me with a play list that included top 40, salsa, bachata, merengue, reggaeton, R&B, hip-hop and reggae. After the main course it did not take long for the dance floor to fill up. All of the guests really seamed to enjoy the mix of music and I also took a few requests for group dances. Rolando is an excellent dancer and proved it that night. The highlight of the evening was watching all of the guests dance to the Wobble, Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle and Gangnam Style. They did not need my help to get started as they knew all of the moves. After the cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss, the dance floor got packed again until the end. The last song for the evening was Before I Let Go by Frankie Beverley and Maze...a classic R&B tune. Congrats to Laronda, Rolando and the entire Rojas, Nero and Raney families. God Bless!!
