Wedding and Reception at the Doubletree Hilton / Sunny Isles

Hi Eddie:

Ceremony and Reception Wedding November 2, 2013 at the Doubletree Hilton Ocean Resort & Spa North Miami Beach

The wedding guests started to arrive at 5:00 pm with light acoustic guitar music being played as they entered the ceremony area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The evening was perfect for an outdoor ceremony by the beach, cool and a light wind.

At about 5:25 the officiant, a relative of the groom, the groom, the best man (grooms Dad) and the groomsmen walked into the ceremony area to the front facing their families and guest.

The bridesmaids, maid of honor and our flower girl walked in as “Cannon D” by Classical Wedding Music Experts played. Our bride and her Dad procession in next as “Wedding March” by Casper De Sala Quartet) played. As Ara and Melodie are pronounced husband and wife the guests all cheered. Then they procession out to “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion.

Cocktail hour was on the terrace just below the reception hall and the ceremony area.

Our bridal party entered as “I Gotta Feeling” by The Black Eyed Peas played and Ara and Melodie entered the reception area to “Crash My Party” by Luke Bryan.

Our couple selected “I Hope that’s me” by Brad Paisley as their first dance as husband and wife. You could tell this is their song because they both looked into each other’s eyes as they sang away.

During the parents dance Melodie danced with her Stepdad first to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts then her Dad to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland.

Ara then danced with his mom to “What a Wonderful World” by L. Armstrong.

The toast was given first by all the bridesmaids and grooms men. They were followed by the best man and the sister of the bride, (her maid of honor), which was very emotional.

Blessing before dinner was offered by George Berberian who also officiated at the ceremony.

Dinner was served and our guests enjoyed easy listening and pop music.

The evening would not be complete without the cutting of the cake while “Chariots of Fire” played. The single ladies were next on the program for the bouquet toss as “Single Ladies” by Beyonce played.  Ara and Melody selected “Cherry Pie” by Warrant for the garter removal.

There was a rather big college football game going on Saturday evening between FSU and UM. Our bride and groom are both form Tallassee and huge FSU football fans. At 8:00 Ara and 2 friends came into the reception area singing the FSU Fight Song, much to the delight of the guests.

The group, despite the game, still partied all the way to the end.

Congratulations Ara & Melodie; Mr. and Mrs. Ara Hagopina.
