Allison and Shane Shepansky tied the knot at the Double Tree by Hilton in Deerfield Beach, FL on 7/20/2013. Allison chose to have the ceremony in-doors so the weather would have no effect on her and Shane's big day. Approximately 90 guests attended the ceremony then were treated to a cocktail hour right outside of the main ballroom where they enjoyed drinks and appetizers. As soon as the main ballroom was ready, all of the guests were invited in and were anxiously waiting for the grand entrance. Allison chose I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness for the entrance of the entire bridal party including her and Shane. This Kind of Love by Sister Hazel was the first dance song then Allison danced with her dad to My Special Angel by Daniel O'Donnell and Shane danced with his mom to Colour My World by Chicago. The toasts were given by Allison's dad Kim Alexander, the best man Grant and the matron of honor Nicole. Then Pastor Jones gave the prayer before the meal. Allison and Shane did provide me with a short play list and a do not play list. After the 2 course meal I played a mix of top 40, 80's pop, classic rock and country. The highlight of the evening was when Allison and Shane requested that we perform the shoe game. This is when the bride and groom sit in the middle of the dance floor on two chairs (back to back) with one of each others shoe in their hands. As I ask the questions they have to raise the shoe of the person who best fits the answer. It was hilarious and the guests got a big kick out of it. They danced all night until the cake cutting and the bouquet toss (no garter). The last song for the evening was The Last Song by All American Rejects as Allison, Shane and some of the remaining guests sat in the middle of the dance floor to reminisce about their great wedding. Congrats to Allison, Shane and the entire Alexander, Edwards and Shepansky families. Also a special thanks to Michelle and her crew at the Hilton for a wonderful job well done. Glad to see Michelle is running the show down there!!
