Bloggers Rejoice!DJ Gregg again and we are talking about a weddingRachel and Terry were married at the Doubletree Hotel in Sunny Isles. The hotel is right on the beach! It was a very nice day for a wedding. The music chosen was very traditional. After the ceremony I played some mid tempo house music for the cocktail hour. It felt like we were at a south beach lounge. Very cool and smooth. The main ballroom was decorated very elegant. I placed the LED lavender up-lights around the room and it gave a very special touch. As the guests entered I played some smooth music to set the tone. I then lined the bridal party up for the introductions. It went over very well. Then Terry and Rachel came in. Here is the cool part...they proceeded to dance the first dance very slowly (At Last by Etta James) then about 1 minute in, the song started to skip, skip, skip and WOW..into the PARTY ROCK ANTHEM! The place went crazy! We watched as the bride and groom did a full routine to the song.. It was a lot of fun. I kept the fun going by playing "Gangnam Style" after this! We rocked the house and the party was just beginning. A good sign of things to come. Once we settled everybody down, I then asked Terry's Dad Philip to do the toast, blessing and dedication. We then heard from the Best Man and one of the bride maids. Now dinner is served. Surf and Turf. Yummy! After dinned, I asked Rachel to dance with her Dad "What a wonderful world" and Terry to dance with his Mom " Unforgettable". I then invited all of the guests to dance and BAM! The party beginsI stayed with modern music most of the night since it was a young crowd. I played a lot of Dance and Hip Hop. Lots of fun!Congrat to the Bride and Groom. DJ/MC Gregg Pellito!
